Road Workers Safety Awareness Week

As part of Road Workers Safety Awareness Week, the Township of Wentworth wishes to remind citizens of the importance of safe driving behaviors when approaching road work zones.

Each year, hundreds of workers are on the road network to maintain, repair, and improve our infrastructure. While this work is essential, it also involves significant risks.

Road users play a key role in ensuring everyone’s safety. It is therefore important to:

• slow down when approaching work zones;
• respect posted signage;
• stay alert and avoid distractions while driving;
• follow the instructions of traffic control personnel.

A simple action, such as reducing speed, can make a real difference and help prevent accidents.

The Municipality of Wentworth thanks all the workers who contribute to safer roads and encourages everyone to remain vigilant at all times.
