National Drowning Prevention Week

Citizen informationFrom July 19 to July 25, the Lifesaving Society is highlighting National Drowning Prevention Week, a campaign that raises awareness about the importance of staying safe around water. Drowning can happen quickly and silently, making vigilance essential.
With its many lakes and waterways, the Township of Wentworth encourages residents and visitors to practice safe habits: supervise children at all times, wear a properly fitted lifejacket when enjoying water activities, and avoid alcohol while on the water.
