Call for applications - Urbanism Consulting Committee

Citizen informationThe Municipality of the Township of Wentworth is seeking applications from citizens interested in serving as members of the Urbanism Consulting Committee. The Urbanism Consulting Committee plays an active role in land-use planning.
Established in accordance with the provisions of the Act Respecting Land Use Planning and Development, the committee is responsible for making recommendations to the Municipal Council on any request or matter related to urban planning, zoning, subdivision, or construction submitted by the Council, as well as requests provided for by law.
The committee is composed of six (6) members selected from municipal residents, along with one (1) member of the Council. The committee meets approximately every two months, with a minimum of three meetings per year. The term of office is two (2) years, and the mandate may be renewed by the Municipal Council.
For this call for applications, we are seeking two (2) candidates from the municipality. The selection criteria are as follows:
- Be a resident of the municipality;
- Have a good command of French (bilingualism is an asset);
- Be willing to actively participate in meetings to present recommendations to the Municipal Council on land-use planning matters;
- An interest in urban planning, design, architecture, or heritage is considered an asset.
